Patricia’s journey to nursing took a unique and unexpected path, diverging from her initial career as an elementary school teacher. After dedicating 3 years to education, she made a transformative decision to shift gears into healthcare. She earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Rush University. She then worked as a nurse for 7 years on a General Medicine unit at Rush University Medical Center. During this time, she earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Rush University. Her unique and unexpected path showcases her resilience, adaptability and unwavering commitment to the field of nursing. Patricia’s dedication to her patients is evident in her advocacy for their well-being. Her commitment to a detailed and thorough approach to patient care highlights her desire to provide the best possible outcomes for her patients. Her clinical interests include: cirrhosis, fatty liver, disorders of the bile ducts, IBD, GERD, Barrett’s Esophagus and patient education.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, spending time with her family and cooking (especially Italian food!). She is certified through ANCC and is a member of AGA and ASGE.
