Patricia’s path to nursing was an unexpected one. She began her career as an elementary school teacher and, after three years in education, made the decision to move into healthcare. She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from Rush University, then worked for seven years as a nurse on a general medicine unit at Rush University Medical Center. During that time, she also earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Rush University. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Patricia is dedicated to her patients and advocates for their well-being. She takes a detailed, thorough approach to care with the goal of achieving the best possible outcomes. Her clinical interests include cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, disorders of the bile ducts, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett’s esophagus, and patient education.
In her free time, Patricia enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, spending time with her family, and cooking, especially Italian food.
