Frequently Asked Questions:

How do telehealth visits work?

Telehealth visits simply require you to have a computer or mobile device with a camera and microphone along with an internet connection. Our providers are utilizing Klara for their video visits, which does not require an application download. This is a HIPAA compliant platform that offers a secure visit and the safety of your health information. You may access this by going to patient.klara.com or following the text message link that will be sent to you.

About 15 minutes prior to your video visit you will be able to test your video and microphone within Klara and will be asked to join a waiting room. Once the medical assistant is ready to review your health history with you, they will join you on the visit. Your provider will then meet with you to discuss your concerns and provide recommendations for your care!

Are there any restrictions for telehealth visits?

You must be in the state of Illinois for the visit but during the COVID-19 public health emergency, coverage for telehealth visits has been extended across many insurance plans. We do strongly encourage you to still contact your insurance company to confirm your benefits and coverage prior to proceeding with a telehealth visit.

Do I still have a copay or deductible?

We recommend that you check with your insurance company to confirm specific details regarding coverage of telehealth visits.
